Top Tip: drink lots of water

Water is essential for the healthy functioning of our bodies. Water makes up about 60 per cent of the human body, 83 per cent of our blood and 75 per cent of our bones.  We use water to digest foods, absorb nutrients, eliminate waste products and have a healthy body temperature.

TOP TIP: Whether you are more active than usual, you are drinking alcohol or the weather is warm it is really important to drink more water. Try and drink a glass of water for each alcoholic beverage you consume, and know your limits. When you drink less alcohol you will be saving water by having to use the bathroom less too!
