Top Tip #2: Carwash

A car wash is a facility used to clean the exterior of motor vehicles. A variation of this theme is the Bikini car wash (an event generally occurring in summer to raise funds for an organisation such as a school). While this might be interesting to watch it is not the environmentally friendly option.

TOP TIP: Washing motor vehicles on the driveway with a running hose traditionally uses a lot of water, and washes chemicals back into the rivers and sea. Use a commercial car wash that recycles its wash water. A number of waterless car washes are also in operation. Another good option is to clean your vehicle on the lawn with a bucket (bikini optional).
